Questions we get every week

Straight answers.

Can foreigners buy property in Bahrain?

Yes. Foreigners can own freehold outright in designated zones, including Reef Island, Seef, Juffair, Amwaj and others. We tell you before any viewing whether a property sits in a freehold zone.

Can expats get a mortgage?

Yes, typically with 20–30% down and a minimum salary set by each bank. We introduce you to banks that lend to expats and help you prepare the file.

What are the extra costs when buying?

Transfer registration is roughly 2% (with an early-registration discount), plus agency fees and the building's annual service charge. We give you a full breakdown before you commit.

Is buying off-plan safe?

Off-plan projects in Bahrain must be registered with RERA, and instalments are paid into an escrow account. We only work with registered projects and review the contract with you.

Do you manage the property after I buy?

Yes. We find the tenant, sign the lease, handle maintenance and collections and send you a monthly statement.
